Now, it can finally be revealed: Mitt Romney was speaking in code — the Mormon candidate was trying to reach out to the Catholic vote in a most intimate (but terribly sexist and misogynistic) way; yes…it’s all about the underwear!Read the rest at the Anchoress
Mitt Romney's comments regarding binders of women in the debate have cause much turmoil in peoples minds about what he actually believed. Though Romney was trying to show his ideas about equality, by trying to find women to fill cabinet postions under his office. He essentially made a remark that just dug a him into a huge hole. Not only did he say that he was given binder full of women but he went on to make numerous comments about how women needed more flexibility in the workplace so that they would have time to go home and make dinner. He also says something along the lines of when he gets the "new economy" going, employers will be desperate to hire women. Basically stating that only when employers have no other option they will be excited to hire women? I don't know if he meant it to be as awful as it sounded, but Mitt Romney's remarks were patronizing, out of touch and never really answered the question being asked.
